“Good coaches are distilled over decades, not years or months. It takes that long to develop enough experience working with athletes to discern the multitude of options for improving performance. More importantly, it takes that long to learn how to connect the particulars of any one athlete with the opportunities to improve their quality of life through sport.

Marc has been a caring and thoughtful coach for nearly three decades. He has improved the athletic performances of thousands. And in the wake of his tenure, many, many people have used sport for self-knowledge and understanding—tools that transcend going faster from point A to point B.”

"I've known Marc Evans for nearly thirty years as a coach, teacher and advisor for endurance athletes.  Marc's unique skill set has extended the boundaries of physiology and biomechanics which has allowed him to assess, advise and manage athletes of all abilities.

He has an unparalleled approach in dissecting the nuances of an athlete’s limitations whether the cause is directly related to overuse, fatigue, instability in joints or muscle imbalances.  Developing the knowledge base in working with hundreds of athletes, Marc has a vast repertoire that only comes with hands on experience.  His wizardry in working with athletes is truly a gift."

"Marc was part of my coaching team in the winter of 08-09 where his role was to work specifically on reestablishing BodyFunction and optimize running technique after years of chronic injuries.

We had great results and I emerged stronger than ever before from the work we did setting personal bests on half my usual training volume. Marc is an extraordinary capacity in what he does and has an unparalleled experience in the sport."

"The Body Position of the individual is critical for optimal performance. Marc is able to adjust the athlete’s position allowing for the least amount of stress on the body while applying the most power and performance.

When repeating any movement the Technique of each individual movement is important. Marc has the ability to break each movement down to its smallest part, explain how to improve it, and reassemble it giving the athlete the extra advantage. It is amazing how little movements can change the results.

Proper Endurance is what propels the athlete to the finish line. Training at a high rate is key to racing and the endurance makes it all happen. Marc works with the athlete to improve the endurance first by looking at the body movements for lost or wasted energy, training at a high rate, adjusting the program for proper recovery.

Cross-training for a strong core is essential for every sport. Marc works with the athlete to improve the core muscles for a strong anchor point to work from. Each exercise is designed to improve a weak core while strengthening the entire unit for improved cohesion giving the athlete extra potential to work from."
